Terms of Use

The agreement between you and CarriBag.

What CarriBag is

CarriBag is a technology platform. It helps two people who are going the same way find each other: one person is already travelling between two cities and has spare bag space, the other needs to send something small on that route.

CarriBag is not a courier company and does not itself carry, store or transport items. The traveller carries the item. CarriBag provides the platform, the matching, the payment flow and the safety steps that surround the handover.

Who can use CarriBag

  • You must be 18 or older.
  • You must give accurate information about yourself and about what you are sending.
  • To carry items for other people you must complete identity verification.
  • One account per person. The same account can both send and carry.

What you are responsible for

Users remain responsible for complying with applicable laws, transport rules and CarriBag policies.

  • Senders are responsible for what is inside the item, for declaring it accurately, and for confirming it is legal to send on that route.
  • Travellers are responsible for checking the item before accepting it, and for following the rules of the train, bus, airline or other operator they are travelling with.
  • Both are responsible for meeting safely and for following the handover steps.

Items that may not be sent

Certain items and routes may be restricted or prohibited. The current list is on the Prohibited Items page and forms part of these terms.

Rules can vary by route and by travel method. An item that is fine in a car may not be permitted on a train or a flight. The operator’s rules always apply in addition to ours.

Payment

The sender pays through CarriBag when a traveller accepts the request. The amount is held until the delivery code is entered, at which point the traveller’s share is released and CarriBag retains a platform fee. The full breakdown is shown before payment.

Suspension and removal

We may suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms, that repeatedly cancels, that misdeclares items, or that puts another user at risk. Where we can, we will say why.

Changes to these terms

We will tell users about material changes before they take effect. Continuing to use CarriBag after that point means the updated terms apply.

Getting in touch

Questions about these terms go to CarriBag support. Grievance-officer details and the formal complaint route will be published here before launch, as Indian intermediary rules require.
